I LOVE THIS! It is a manifesto for where we are now! It is also why poetry is VITAL to our survival. In other countries, such as Spain, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan, poetry and poets are prized and respected much more than in the U.S. (A sad but true thing, and maybe fitting since it is American poets who destroyed the cachet Poetry once had). My quest is to build it back, and through that lift Poetry back to where it once was with the ultimate goal of benefiting all of humanity. Of course, this is a SLOW and Laborious process, but I do believe it can be done. This is not a mission for those with weak wills or the instant gratification folks, but for those who are steady at the wheel, keep their eyes on the horizon, and know the cost. Your work reminds me of this, and I am so glad you are here. 😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜
No matter what, keep writing! The world needs you. And most of all, stay safe and strong.
You have such a way with words, exceptional writing… such thought-provoking meditation on the rise and fall of empires and the enduring nature of civilization.
Thank you Aaliya. With all the writing about apocalyptic rhetoric and actions in the news, I thought it was important to remind people, as Willy Wonka once said "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."
So beautifully the end is been threaded 💛Awesome writing💛💛
Thank you pm
My pleasure💛💛💛
This is amazing, Mike. The threads of civilizations are falling apart. Thousands of years of work about to be reduced to ash. Beautiful.
Thank you Chris. Reading you this morning helped feed me the idea
Oh, that’s so awesome, man. I am honored to be the inspiration for such an amazing poem.
Truthful and healing. Thank you for sharing your gift!

I agree. Don't cry over yesteryear. Keep on going for the future and hope it's a bright one. It won't be if we don't work at it. Great poem.
Thank you
