Poignant. It feels like Solomon. "I have seen how much effort and skillful work spring from rivalry between people; This too is futility, a chasing after the wind..." Still--please stay.🥹
This reminds me of that scene in Braveheart where the Scottish king tries to validate hate as a noble attribute of a king, and his son says as he closes the door “my hate will die with you.”
Awesome piece as always Pan’soosh. Your depth knows no bounds
I would add too, that it is not important that our names are known, but that work IS. The work should, if it is meaningful, stand long after we are gone.
Amazing poem, so poignant! However, I hope that you are well. You have a touching way with words and your insights are on point. Thank you for sharing your talent. Godspeed.
I feel your epitaph but I have had to prove my value, or trumpet my worth. It has been something I have had to grow into understand and accept in light of so many of my 80 years not having felt of value. Nevertheless, I have arrived there and continue to do so but am closer to ready to depart. Thanks for being these emotions to light for me. Fondly, Michael
Michael, we live in a juggernaut which is sure to roll over us when we do not self-promote. What looks like the crassest of self praise to the rest of the civilized world is only straight survival here.
Love this very much 🤍Strength definitely does not need a display to be known....
Thank you Willow
Funny I was thinking something related to your words, but from my perspective...hard to read everything but I'm taking more time to read yours🤍
Thank you

Too true, but what remains, if we are lucky, is a bit of verse -that eternal echo in the sounding back to even those unknown. 🥰🪶💜
The imperative is to WRITE! WRITE! Let your words ring on and on as song!

Pancakesushi,

Thank you Michael. I hope you will endure for many more years
PS, As I said I am not yet ready but at 80 the reality is that there is more to look back on than there is to anticipate! Fondly, Michael

True enough, but I find it abhorrent. I trust in people finding my work
True enough.👌
